ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's swimming & diving program posted 15 individual and relay victories in its meet against Maine Maritime Academy on Friday evening in Wallace Pool.
Cam Watelet,
Joey Stauss, and
Julian LaPietra each posted a pair of individual victories for the Black Bears.
Watelet took top marks in both the 100-yard backstroke (52.04) and the 100-yard IM (52.50) while Stauss was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (51.11) and the 50-yard fly (22.91). Julian Lapietra placed first in the 50-yard freestyle (21.96) as well as the 100-yard freestyle (46.88).

Ian Mallari - 200-yard IM - 2:00.33
Finn Devers - 200-yard freestyle - 1:46.25
Daniel Tanaka - 50-yard breaststroke - 27.98
Andrew Hoy - 50-yard backstroke - 25.99
Nate Teerlinck - 100-yard breaststroke - 59.32
Kaden Kilger - 500-yard freestyle - 4:53.31
Jeremiah Small took first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 286.12 and was the runner-up on the 1-meter board at 167.90.
Maine's team of Hoy, Teerlinck,
Max Ginsburg, and LaPietra took gold in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:36.57 while
Calvin Comeau, LaPietra,
Jon Bird, and
Matthew Bendoraitis placed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay at 1:29.08.
