Maine drops game two to Boston University, 2-0

Box Score BOSTON, Mass. - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team dropped the second game in a row to #15-ranked Boston University, on Saturday 0-2 at Agganis Arena.

The Terriers struck first roughly 14 minutes into the game, sneaking a puck past Kiia Lahtinen, in her second career game. 

After a scoreless second period, BU scored another goal when graduate student Tamara Giaquinto scored on the power play. Maine pulled its goalie late in the third, but BU kept the Black Bears at bay to earn the 2-0 win. 

Freshman netminder Kiia Lahtinen made 24 saves for Maine. 

Maine moves to a 1-5-0 record, with a 1-3-0 in Hockey East conference play record.
