Mallory Mackesy got the Black Bears on the board early as she scored at 4:43 into the first period. Her ninth goal of the season came off of a takeaway in the offensive zone.

Saylor Kuefler made it 2-0 Black Bears just 38 seconds after the Mackesy score. Her third of the season came off of a great feed by
Bhreagh Kennedy (1).

Star Horlock scored for Stanford to make it 2-1 after the opening 15.

Scout Butler tied the contest up at 2-2 on a corner goal.

Haley Mossmer scored the third goal for Stanford, giving them a 3-2 lead heading into halftime.

Mackesy got the scoring going in the second half as she scored her 10
th of the season, second of the game, on a shot that she put off the post and then scored on her own rebound.

Kuefler joined Mackesy as a multi-goal scorer on the day as she made her second goal of the game following a great set up by Mackesy (2) that put Kuefler into a one-on-one against the goalkeeper.

Scout Butler scored on a penalty shot with 15 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime.

Brynn Dzengelewski played the hero 4:44 into the second overtime as she received a pass from Mackesy (3) that set her up for a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. She proceeded to go five-hole on the keeper and net her first collegiate goal and pick up the win for Maine, 5-4.

Jayde Temby picked up her first collegiate win as she picked up five saves on six shots across her 44:44 time played.

Maine (4-4, 2-0 AE) wraps up their nine-game homestand to begin 2023 on Friday, Sep. 22 against UMass Lowell. That game is scheduled to begin at 3 P.M.
