Orono, ME - The University of Maine field hockey team was defeated by UMass Lowell on Friday evening, 4-0.
Berbel Rozema and Ava Clarke scored in the first half for the river hawks and Madison Leeper and Karli Penrod scored in the second half.
The Black Bears put eight shots on net and generated seven corners in the contest.
Maine (4-5, 2-1 AE) heads on the road for their first road trip of the 2023 regular season as they travel to UAlbany on Friday, Sep. 29.
