Box Score Orono, ME - The University of Maine women's soccer team came up with a draw on the road at Merrimack College on Thursday evening, 1-1.

Kira Kutzinski was perfect in the first half of the contest for the Black Bears as she stopped all seven shots she faced in the opening 45 minutes.

Maine got on the board first in the contest as Abby Kraemer found the back of the net for the fourth time in 2023 following a great hustle play by Jordane Pinette that forced the Merrimack goalkeeper to misplay the ball.

Merrimack tied up the contest at 1-1 when Molly Murnane scored.

Maine (3-0-2) looks to remain undefeated as they travel to Sacred Heart University on Sunday, Sep. 3. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:00 P.M.
