Jeremiah Jenkins was named the District 1 Player of the Year for his 2023 season.
Jenkins, a native of Upper Marlboro, MD, adds to his awards with the honor of being named the District 1 Player of the Year. Jenkins has already been named a Collegiate Baseball Third Team All-American, a Dick Howser Trophy Semifinalist, an All-New England First Team member, the America East Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference and to the America East All-Tournament Team.
On the 2023 season, Jenkins hit third in all 52 games for the Black Bears, during which he slashed .365/.492/.756 with 21 home runs, 12 doubles, one triple, 76 RBI and a 39:36 walk-to-strikeout ratio.
The District 1 states are: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
