Women Swim and Dive Place Fourth After Day One of America East Championships

Worcester, MA - The University of Maine women's swim and dive team sit in fourth place with 81 points after day one of the America East Championships.

The Black Bears had a strong showing on the diving boards with Haylie Claver placing sixth in the 3 meter dive with a 220.00 score. Ashley LeClaire finished directly behind Calver earning 219.10 points.

In the 800 freestyle relay Mia Poirier, Laura Dube, Kathleen Bendoraitis, Kathleen, and Rebecca Thompson placed sixth touching the wall at a time of 7:49.07.

Maine earned another sixth place finish in the 200 medley relay. Madison Edwards, Morgan Bui, Isabelle Irani, and Kayla Loughman finished with a time of 1:45.42.
