Orono, ME - The Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) has announced a "Watch List" of 28 first-year NCAA women's hockey players who will likely be voted National Rookie of the Year by the nation's assistant coaches.

Hailing from Heidelberg Germany, Lilli and Luisa Welcke are first year twin sisters who are each forwards on the University of Maine women's ice hockey team. Luisa and Lilli Welcke are a part of a three way tie in leader of points on the season with 19. 

Luisa Welcke has seven goals and 12 assists on the season. Luisa Welcke has also earned Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week honors twice during the course of the season as well as being awarded the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for her performance throughout December.

Lilli Welcke has earned six goals and 13 assists on the season. Lilli Welcke has also been awarded the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for her performance throughout November.
