AMESBURY, Mass. – A trio of University of Maine men's hockey players have earned Hockey East weekly awards, as announced Monday by the league. Freshmen
Josh Nadeau and
Bradly Nadeau were both named Hockey East Co-Players of the Week while sophomore
Brandon Chabrier was named the Hockey East Army ROTC Defender of the Week.

The Nadeau brothers combined for 13 points over the two-win weekend for the Black Bears, with Bradly recording seven points from three goals and four assists and Josh racking up three goals and three assists for six points. Chabrier had a five-point weekend, including a four-point outing on Sunday.

Both brothers recorded a hat trick on the weekend, with all six hat trick goals featuring an assist by the other brother.

On Friday night,
Josh Nadeau net his first career hat trick, scoring two power-play goals and the game-winning goal of the 5-2 win over rival New Hampshire, while
Bradly Nadeau recorded the primary assist on each tally. Sunday saw
Bradly Nadeau earn a career-high four points as he potted the short-handed game-winning goal late in the second period before striking twice early in the third.
Josh Nadeau earned the primary assist on each tally, and Bradly added an assist on Maine's opening tally of the 7-3 win over UConn.

Chabrier assisted on a power-play goal during Friday's tilt before going on to record four points in Sunday's win. After assisting on Maine's first three goals of the game, the Bayville, N.Y. native fired home a power-play goal late in the third period. Chabrier finished the weekend with six shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating.

In addition to his seven points,
Bradly Nadeau was second in the league with 10 shots on goal and tied first with a plus-5 rating while adding two blocked shots.
Josh Nadeau fired nine shots on goal and had a plus-4 rating to go with his six points.
This is the second Defender of the Week honor this season for Chabrier and the first Player of the Week honor for
Josh Nadeau.
Bradly Nadeau picks up his second weekly honor after earning Rookie of the Week accolades earlier this season.
