ORONO, Maine – Two members of the 2025-26 University of Maine men's ice hockey program have been honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association, the organization announced on Tuesday.

Josh Nadeau were both named to the NEHWA Division I All-Star squad.

Holt, who was voted the Hockey East Best Defensive Defenseman and earned First Team All-Star honors this season, captained the Black Bears and led Maine in scoring while setting career highs in goals (6), assists (26), points (32) and blocked shots (47). Holt's 32 points marked the first 30-plus point season by a Maine defenseman since Ben Hutton recorded 33 in 2011-12. Additionally, Holt was voted the co-winner of the Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award, which is presented annually to the league player who consistently demonstrates superior conduct and sportsmanship on and off the ice.
Nadeau, who was named a Hockey East First Team All-Star this season, racked up 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists this season. He led Hockey East with 15 goals in conference play while finishing second in points with 25 (15-10-25). Nadeau, who earned a Hockey East Third Team All-Star nod as a freshman, scored five power-play goals and two short-handed goals in his junior year. With his 17-goal season, he became the first Black Bear to record three consecutive 10-goal seasons since Joey Diamond (2010-11, 2011-12, 2012-13).
