Waterville, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming & diving team won the Maine State Meet with a final score of 928 on Saturday afternoon.
Kayla Loughman led the Black Bears with a winning and new school record time of 58.26 in the 100-yard IM.
Ashley LeClaire won the 3-meter dive with a score of 291.45.
Mia Poirier found the podium in the 200 butterfly with a third place time of 2:08.59.
Kathleen Bendoraitis placed fourth in the 1650 freestyle at 17:59.00 with
Ainslie Boswell placing fifth in the event at 18:01.24.
Kennady Kilger placed fourth in the 200 backstroke, touching the wall at 2:07.55, while
Eva Welsh added a fifth place mark of 1:00.72 in the 100 IM.
The team of
Hannah Deighan, Kilger,
Carmen Braden, and Loughman won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:29.83.
