ORONO, Maine – The second-seeded University of Maine women's soccer team will look to take home the program's first-ever America East Championship title on Sunday when it hosts fourth-seeded UMass Lowell. Kick off is set for 2 p.m. at Mahaney Diamond.

The Black Bears advanced to the championship game by topping Vermont, 2-1, on Thursday night at Mahaney Diamond.
Abby Kraemer scored both goals, with the game-winning goal coming off of a free kick in the 90th minute. The River Hawks defeated top-seed Binghamton in overtime, 2-1, and will play in the championship game for the second time in program history.

HOW THE TEAMS GOT HERE
• The Black Bears have advanced to the program's sixth title game – and first since 2010 – after defeating Vermont, 2-1, on Thursday night at Mahaney Diamond.

Abby Kraemer scored both of Maine's goal … she finished a feed from
Lara Kirkby in the 11th minute for a 1-0 lead and then converted a 20-yard free kick with 29 seconds to go in regulation for the 2-1 win.
• Goalkeeper
Kira Kutzinski made four saves while Kirkby and
Kristina Kelly earned assists for the Black Bears.
• The River Hawks traveled to top-seed Binghamton and went down 1-0 just two minutes into the contest.
• But after a 69th-minute tying goal, a header goal in the second overtime and three saves from goalkeeper Taylor Burgess, UMass Lowell earned a spot in the program's second-ever title match.

• Maine brings an overall record of 10-1-6 into Sunday's title game … the Black Bears finished the America East regular season slate in second place with a 4-1-3 mark to earn its best tournament seed since 2005.
