Kingston, R.I. -- The University of Maine women's swim & dive team sits in fourth after two days of competition at the Harold Anderson Invitational with 371.5 points.
One day after setting the school-record on the 3m boards,
Ashley LeClaire placed second in the 1m event with a score of 278.60.
Haylie Calver added a fifth place finish in the event with a score of 262.75 while Madelyn Ruppert came home eighth at 236.10.
Kayla Loughman logged a third place showing in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall at 1:05.10 while
Kennady Kilger tied for fifth in the 100 backstroke event with a final time of 58.15.
Marlee Canale added an eighth place finish in the 400 IM at 4:37.91 to round out Maine's top-8 placers.
In the 200-yard medley relay event,
Madison Edwards, Kilger,
Isabelle Irani, and Loughman finished fourth at 1:46.74.
Maine's team of
Lindsay Mathews,
Carmen Braden,
Mia Poirier, and
Laura Dube placed seventh in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:47.45.
