Orono, ME - The University of Maine field hockey team scored three goals in the second half to beat Bryant, 3-2.
Bryant got out to a 2-0 lead in the first half behind a pair of goals from Lotte Guitink.
Maine came out in the second half and scored just 58 seconds into the third quarter. Mallory Mackesy tallied her 11th goal of the season on a penalty corner as Hannah Abbott (1) and Tereza Holubcova (5) picked up the assists on the play.
Holubcova got on the score board herself as she tied the game up at 2-2 on her third goal of the season. Poppy Lambert (2) and Bhreagh Kennedy (2) picked up assists on the penalty corner score.
Madisyn Hartley tallied the game-winning score with just 32 seconds remaining in the final quarter of play as Brynn Dzengelewski (2) set up her for the one-time shot. Bhreagh Kennedy (3) picked up the secondary assist.
Mallory Drayer picked up three saves in the winning performance.
Maine (6-6, 3-2 AE) heads on the road for a non-conference matchup against Quinnipiac on Sunday. That game is scheduled to begin at noon.
