ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine softball team and new head coach,
Jordan Fitzpatrick, hit the road for a five-game road trip starting at the University of Massachusetts and ending at Stony Brook University. The team will open conference play when they travel to Long Island to take on the Seawolves.

The Black Bears split a weekend round robin with the University of Hartford and Quinnipiac University. Maine won a game on Saturday against Hartford then Quinnipiac, before being swept by the opposing schools on Sunday.

Jasmine Gray is leading the way at the plate by sporting a .361 batting average. The junior is slugging .541 with 10 RBI and one home run.
Gabby Papushka and
Keely Clark are both hitting .315 on the 2022 season. The pair have combined to drive in 22 RBI, slug four home runs, and score 17 runs.
Izzy Nieblas,
Kya Enos, and
Kelby Drews have seven combined home runs and 36 RBI over 25 games.

Gabbie Siciliano and
Emily Reid each have one win and one complete game for the Black Bears. Reid leads the team with 27 strikeouts, while Siciliano has the lowest ERA (5.29).
Caitlyn Fallon has the most wins (two) and the fewest walks (11).
