BOSTON – University of Maine softball's Kaelyn Larkin has been named the America East Rookie of the Week, as announced on Tuesday by the conference.
 
Larkin helped Maine to a 3-1 week with a team-leading .733 on-base percentage and a .500 average at the plate after going 4-for-8. The Medfield, Mass. native had one double, one home run and earned seven walks. Larkin drove in three runs while scoring a team-leading five, including three runs scored in Maine's series-clinching 11-7 win over Binghamton on Sunday.
 
This marks the first career weekly honor for Larkin.
