Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine women's soccer team remained undefeated (3-0-2) in America East action with a 3-2 victory at Vermont on Sunday afternoon.
Abby Kraemer led Maine with two goals while
Emma Schneider added a third.
Kira Kutzinski improved to 7-3-2 in net after making four saves in the victory.
Emma Donovan added a pair of assists in the victory.
Kraemer began the scoring at at 13:37 when she converted on a penalty kick after the Catamounts committed a foul inside the box.
Maine would carry a 1-0 lead into the break but Vermont would answer, tallying a pair of goals to start the second half to take a 2-1 advantage.
Kate Bossert evened the score at 1-1 with her goal at 52:31 before Nicky Constant gave Vermont the lead on her goal at 72:10.
The Black Bears tied things at 2-2 when Donovan found Schneider for a goal at 73:06. For Schneider, it marked the first goal of her Maine career.
Just over four minutes later, Kraemer would break in to the Vermont zone and score what would eventually become the game-winner.
Maine returns to action on Thursday when it hosts UMass Lowell at 6 p.m. on Mahaney Diamond.
