Orono, Maine -- The University of Maine women's swimming and diving program defeated Providence College, 187-51, and fell to New Hampshire, 208-137, in a tri-meet on Friday evening at Wallace Pool on Senior Day for the Black Bears.
PhilAnn Dixon swept the diving events on her Senior Day, winning the 1-meter event with a score of 228.80 and the 3-meter at 243.90.
Morgan Bui had an impressive showing in the 50-yard breaststroke, taking the top mark in the event with a time of 30.58. Bui was the runner up in the 100 breaststroke at 1:07.41.
Sarah Mansfield turned in a runner-up showing in the 100 fly at 1:00.74 and placed fourth in the 50 butterfly at 27.39.
Cam Hargraves tied for third in the 100 backstroke event with a final time of 1:03.17 and placed fourth in the 50 freestyle at 25.28.
Maggie White finished third in the 500 free at 5:19.88 while
Kayla Loughman added a third place showing in the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall at 1:07.97.
The team of
Madison Edwards, Bui, Mansfield, and Loughman turned in a runner-up performance in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.80. Loughman, Mansfield, Hargraves, and
Hannah Deighan finished third in the 200 freestyle relay at 1:39.60.
