ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team returns to Alfond Arena for the first time in 595 days as they face the Saint Anselm Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 3:00 P.M.
For the Black Bears, they fell to 0-2 after a weekend at Quinnipiac. Forward
Celine Tedenby led the offense for the Black Bears with a pair of goals, one in each contest, on the weekend.
Maddie Giordano also netted her first of the season for the Black Bears.
Loryn Porter picked up 71 saves in the series, stopping 71 of 78 shots.
For Saint Anselm, this will be their first contest of the 2021-22 season.
The last home game for the Black Bears came in the 2019-20 season where the faced off against Boston College, a 2-1 victory for the Black Bears.
Ida Kuoppala picked up a goal in that contest and
Maddie Giordano grabbed an assist.
