Jeremy Swayman made his National Hockey League debut for the Boston Bruins last night, April 6, 2021.
The Anchorage, Alaska, native earned the victory and stopped 40 shots in his first ice time in an NHL contest.
"One of the best experiences of my life," Swayman said post game. "To do it with the Boston Bruins, I'm speechless."
Jeremy Swayman joins a long list of Black Bears to make it to the NHL including greats like Hall of Famer Paul Kariya, All-Star Jimmy Howard, three time Vezina Trophy finalist Ben Bishop, and two-time Stanley Cup Champion Dustin Penner.
