Kazu Temple set his second Maine school-record in as many days as the Black Bears wrapped up the America East Championships by finishing fifth overall with 353 total points during the three-day competition.
Temple, who broke his own 100-yard breaststroke record during Saturday's competition, broke his own 200-yard breaststroke mark on Sunday with a third place finish in a new record time of 2:01.97 on Sunday. For his third place finish, Temple earned all-conference recognition in the 200 breaststroke.
Andy Sprague also added a top-five finish on day three, placing fifth in the 100 freestyle with a final time of 45.96.
Kevin Arpin added an eight place finish in the event at 46.28.
The Black Bears also registered a pair of top-10 marks in the 200 backstroke event, led by
Liam Blair's seventh place finish with a time of 1:54.97.
Max Ginsburg placed ninth in the event, touching the wall at 1:56.54.
Conor Hughes led Maine in the 1000 freestyle with a 12th place finish in 10:00.81 while
Rooster Cardin was Maine's top finisher in the 200 butterfly, also placing 12th with a time of 1:57.25.
Maine wrapped up its America East Championship competition with a bronze medal in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:05.95. Swimming the event for Maine was Sprague, Blair,
Jacob Ketch, and Arpin.
