ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine softball team will play three games at Fordham this weekend. The first match-up between the school since 2013 is scheduled to start this Saturday, March 20th at 2:30 pm.

The Black Bears went 1-3 in its first four games of the 2021 season. Merrimack took both games from Maine, while splitting a series at Sacred Heart.
Shanna Scribner and
Kelby Drews each went 4-10 in their first weekend of action since 2020. Scribner recorded two triples to Drews' two home runs. For her efforts,
Kelby Drews was named America East player of the week.

Kyleigh O'Donnell led the way in the circle for Maine. The senior recorded 9.0 total innings, a 1.56 ERA, and eight strikeouts.
Caitlyn Fallon and
Lilly Volk each racked up 6.0 innings in the circle while combining to strike out seven.

The Rams have won five games in the short 2021 season.

Fordham returns its top three hitters from 2020 in Madie Aughinbaugh, Julia Martine, and Brianna Pinto. They combined for a total of three home runs, 38 RBI, and 34 total hits.

Devon Miller and Madie Aughinbaugh also both return for the Rams. Aughinbaugh finished the shortened 2020 season with a 3.71 ERA, 49 strikeouts, and two wins. Miller recorded a 4.01 ERA, four wins, and 50 strikeouts.
