ORONO, Maine – The University of Maine softball team split a doubleheader with Binghamton on Saturday afternoon at the Pierre & Catherine Labat Softball Complex.

How it Happened
- Keira Inman powered Maine to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first … two walks and a single loaded the bases for Inman's shot to left center.
- The visitors responded in the top of the third with a three-run home run and then equalized an inning later, 4-4.
- In the top of the fifth, the Bearcats knocked a two-run home run to take a 6-4 lead and then added another two-run shot before the frame was over.
- The Black Bears responded in the top of the with a Kaelyn Larkin two-run home run to right center but it would cap Maine's offense for the day.
Game Notes
- Kaelyn Larkin was 2-for-2 with two walks earned, two RBI and two runs scored.
- Keira Inman was 1-for-3 with four RBI on her grand slam while also earning one walk.
- Neve Adams was 2-for-4 while scoring a run.
- Maine is now 40-39 in the all-time series with Binghamton.

How it Happened
- The Bearcats took a 3-0 lead in the top of the first with a home run and a double.
- Maine pulled one run back in the bottom of the second when Madison Hand sent a solo home run to left field.
- In the bottom of the sixth, the Black Bears loaded the bases with three singles and then earned back-to-back walks to tie the game up, 3-3.
- After a 1-2-3 inning from Alysen Rieth in the top of the seventh, Kennedy Burns started the bottom half of the frame by reaching on a drop third strike … two batters later – including a sacrifice bunt from Hand – Maggie Helms' pop fly in the infield was dropped as the runner came around to score for the 4-3 win.

- Eviana Robles was 2-for-3 with one run scored and one walk earned.
- Kaelyn Larkin had three walks and one RBI while Neve Adams was 1-for-2 with two walks and one RBI.
- Maine is now 40-40 in the all-time series with Binghamton.
- Kyla Brogan started in the circle and threw 0.2 innings before giving way to Ava Zettlemoyer … Zettlemoyer went 5.1 innings, giving up no runs on three hits … Rieth tossed 1.0 innings of relief in picking up the win.
