Box Score Albany, N.Y. -- The University of Maine women's soccer team fell in its second game of the 2021 season at UAlbany by a score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.

First Goal (UAlbany 1-0): After receiving a through ball from Sahara Zingano, Jasmine Colbert was able to outrun the Black Bear defense and give the Great Danes an early 1-0 lead. The Maine goalkeeper, Kira Kutzinski, did all she could to stop the scoring opportunity but was unable to deflect the forward's strike. The Black Bears trailed by one goal with 16:00 remaining in the first half.

Second Goal (UAlbany 2-0): Late in the second half, the Great Danes broke out along the right sideline on an offensive rush. A 2-on-1 resulted in UAlbany's second goal of the afternoon when Christina Cernuto rifled a shot at the net. Kira Kutzinski was able to get a hand on the shot but the loose ball dribbled in front and was eventually finished into the back of the net by Jada Colbert.
UAlbany held a 14-9 advantage in total shots and an 8-1 edge in shots on net.
Saylor Clark guided Maine's offense with four total shots while Hannah Bamford registered Maine's lone shot on net.
Kutzinski turned away a season-high six shots in net for the Black Bears.
