• The Black Bears went 0-1-1 with a shoot-out victory last weekend at #19 Boston College. The Eagles won Thursday night's contest, 6-2, before the two squads skated to a 2-2 tie on Friday.

• Brad Morrissey and Donavan Villeneuve-Houle both scored during Maine's 2-1 shoot-out win in Chestnut Hill. Villeneuve-Houle scored two goals and the shoot-out game winner over the Thursday/Friday series. Victor Ostman stopped 29 shots, while only allowing one shoot-out goal during Maine's Friday night shoot-out win.

• The Black Bears enter the season with six new faces on the roster after seeing five players graduate or leave to pursue professional hockey.

• Three incoming freshmen and three transfers make up players who were added by the new coaching staff. Three of the incoming student athletes are from the United States, while the other three are from Canada.
