ORONO, ME - The University of Maine men's and women's swim and dive teams prepare for their first home meet in 720 days as they play host to Maine Maritime Academy on Saturday, Oct. 29.
For UMaine, the last time they competed in front of the home faithful was back in November of 2019, when they played host to Holy Cross in a 174.5-95.5 victory.
Maine is being led by their 5 captains for the 2021-22 season. Those being
Morgan Oehler,
PhilAnn Dixon,
Kellen Doyle,
Evan Bartow and
Sydney Loper.
The Black Bears are also joined by 19 Freshmen between the men's and women's side.
For both teams, they will be looking to build off of a strong 2020-21 season in which the men found themselves placing 5th on both the men's and women's side at the America East Championships. The Maine men scored a total of 353 while the women finished with a score of 378.
The meet is scheduled to be begin at 12:00 P.M.
