ORONO, Maine - The University of Maine women's ice hockey team heads on the road for a pair of hockey east games against the UNH Wildcats and the Boston College Eagles.
For UMaine, they are heading out on the road trip following a 0-2 start to Hockey East play. The Black Bears fell to the UConn Huskies, 1-0 and the Northeastern Huskies, 3-0.
Jorden Mattison stopped 33 of 34 shots against UConn.
Loryn Porter stopped 36 of 38 shots against Northeastern.
For UNH, they are off to a 0-5-1 start to the season. Most recently, they were swept by the Boston College Eagles, 2-1 and 3-2.
For Boston College, they are off to a 5-0-0 start and are #4 nationally ranked. They are coming off the sweep of the UNH Wildcats, 2-1 and 3-2.
Both games are scheduled for a 2:00 P.M. puck drop, with the Black Bears facing UNH on Friday, Oct. 22 and Boston College on Saturday, Oct. 23.
