A TEAM OF TWO HALVES

Maine has shown dramatic improvement shooting the ball after the halftime break in their so-far small sample size. A 30.6% mark from the field in the first half has risen to 50.0% in the second half across their two games.

INGO AIR CONTROL

Maine Redshirt sophomore and team co-captain Steph Ingo is rapidly developing into the best shot blocker Maine has had in quite some time. The Ontario-native started his 2020-21 campaign by matching a career-high with five blocks against Hartford, the second time he's hit that mark in his career. He's the first Black Bear with five blocks in a game since Mike Allison in 2012, he has at least one block in 28 of his 33 career games played, and has an active streak of 14 straight games with a block.

DUHART OF GLASS
First-year JUCO transfer LeChaun DuHart took home Rookie of the Week honors on December 22nd, as the Western Wyoming product averaged 13.7 points per game and shot 50% from the field in Maine's first three games.

DuHart posted point totals of 13, 9, and 19 in the first three contests, posting a shooting split of 50.0/45.5/77.8. As of Thursday morning, he ranks first in the conference and 26th nationally with 3.33 three-pointers per game, as well as sitting in the top five in the conference in three-point percentage (2nd, 45.5) and minutes per game (4th, 34:23).

The last Black Bear to be named America East Rookie of the Week was Andrew Fleming '20 in February of 2017.
