ORONO, Maine - The America East Conference named University of Maine swimmer Liam Blair as the Male Swimmer of the Week for his performance over the weekend at the meet against Bowden College.

Blair, a junior out of Tucson, Arizona, had an incredible weekend for the Black Bears, as he picked up four first places finishes at the meet, three of which were individual wins. 

Blair won the 50-yard backstroke (24.61), the 100-yard backstroke (53.85) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.36) for his three individual victories. He added a fourth win in the 200-yard freestyle when the team of Himself, Sprague, Ketch and Arpin paced the field with a final of time 1:28.11.

Blair and the rest of the Black Bears will be back in action on January 25 as they head to Providence for the final regular season meet.
