GLOUCESTER, Mass. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced on Friday that Mitchell Fossier, Sam Becker, Keith Muehlbauer and Rob McGovern have been named 2018-19 AHCA All-American Scholars.
 
In order to qualify, student-athletes must achieve a 3.6 GPA or higher in each semester of the 2018-19 academic year, while also having to play in at least 40 percent of games during the season.
 
"We are extremely proud of this group of student-athletes who have competed at the highest levels of the game on the ice and matched that performance in the classroom," said AHCA executive director Joe Bertagna. "The sport demands a great deal from these athletes so it is a great statement they make, individually and collectively, with their ability to attain this level of academic achievement."
 
Earlier this month, Fossier, Becker, Muehlbauer, and McGovern were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team.
