JUNIOR (2017-18): Minded the net in nine games for UMaine in his third season… went 3-4-1 on the campaign, while making 36 saves in his win over RPI on 12/30… made 237 total saves with a .894 save percentage… saw a total time of 470:53… Named to the Hockey East All-Academic team.

Competed at the 2017 Boston Bruins NHL Development camp

SOPHOMORE (2016-17): Played in 29 games for Maine as a sophomore, starting 28 of them while going 9-15-3...had a 2.99 goals against average and a .912 save percentage...earned his first career shutout with a 31 save performance against Connecticut (1/14)...stopped a season-high 44 shots in a 2-1 win at Massachusetts (1/28)...stopped 35-plus shots in seven different games.

FRESHMAN (2015-16): Played in 20 games for the Black Bears...Had a 2-14-3 record, allowed 2.78 goals per game and had a .905 save percentage...McGovern stopped a season high 44 shots in his career debut versus North Dakota (10/10)...Earned his first career win against Colgate (1/8), by stopping 24 shots and only allowed one goal.

BEFORE MAINE: Played at Bay State Breakers junior hockey team...Led league in save percentage and shutouts in USPHL...Named season series MVP while at Thayer...Also played football and baseball.

PERSONAL: Sister was an All-American and Team Captain for Williams College Lacrosse.
