HAMDEN, Conn. – The #7 University of Maine men's ice hockey team and #10 Quinnipiac played to a 4-4 tie on Friday night at M&T Bank Arena.

The Black Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period.
Will Gerrior potted his first career goal just over two minutes into the contest.
Owen Fowler and
Miguel Marques then scored less than a minute apart to close out the opening stanza.

Quinnipiac scored a power-play goal 14 seconds into the middle frame.
Thomas Freel responded for Maine and potted his second of the year on a short breakaway.

The Bobcats, though, scored three goals over the final eight minutes of the third period, including two extra attacker goals in the final three minutes, to force overtime. Neither team found the back of the net in the overtime period.
