WORCESTER, Mass. -- The University of Maine men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded the 2019 America East Swim & Dive Championships on Sunday at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
At the end of the events, the women's finished in fourth with 465.5 points while the men ranked third with a score of 494.5.
Juliana McDonald set a new meet record and program record in the 100-yard free, touching the wall in 49.48 for first place in the event. McDonald qualified for the NCAA B-cut with the feat. McDonald took gold in the 200-yard free, finishing at 1:49.09.

McDonald, winning and setting four meet and program records during the weekend, earning the Most Outstanding Swimmer of the America East Championships.
The women's 400-yard freestyle relay team earned silver for their strong efforts. McDonald,
Emma Blair,
Ines Khiyara and
Rita Chen, touched the wall at 3:26.38 in their finish.

On Sunday, Shayla-Rose Kleisinger took fifth in the 1650-yard free at 17:24.83 for her season-best finish. Behind her,
Emily Lund took ninth at 17:43.77 and
Beatrix Lavigueur in tenth at 18:01.86.
On the men's side,
Andy Sprague,
Jacob Ketch, Spencer Lindley and
Cameron Kubik set a new program record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:05.78, coming in fourth place.
Sprague took sixth in the 100-yard free at 46.27 for his personal best in the event. Kubik came in ninth at 47.14, taking 26 seconds off of his prelim time.

Two Black Bears ended in with top-8 finishes in the 200-yard breast, with Temple Kazu finishing at 2:03.60 and
Sean Driscoll taking sixth at 2:05.51.
