Crowley Featured on SportCenter’s Top 10 Plays

ORONO, Maine – University of Maine field hockey senior Casey Crowley was featured on SportCenter's Top 10  plays on Friday night, checking in at No. 10 for her elusive goal in the second half against Northeastern.

Crowley received a pass from Cassandra Mascarenhas, maneuvering past four defenders on her way to firing a shot past the Husky goalkeeper in the play.

Crowley, a native of New Plymouth New Zealand, tallied two goals in an eight minute span against the Huskies in the second half, with her second goal earning the recognition from the World Wide Leader in Sports. In her last four games, Crowley has tallied five goals and an assist for 11 points in that span.

The Black Bears defeated Northeastern 9-1 on Friday, improving to 8-0 on the season. Maine's overall record matches the Black Bears' best-ever start to a season, which was set in 1975.
