ORONO, Maine -- University of Maine women's basketball head coach
Amy Vachon is pleased to announce that Alexandra (Alex) Bolozova has inked a National Letter of Intent. Bolozova will join the Black Bears in the fall of 2018.
"We are pleased to welcome Alex Bolozova to  Black Bear Nation," Vachon said. "Alex is a high character student-athlete who will fit in great with our team. She is a smart player who loves to be physical down low. She comes from a basketball family and is excited to join ours. We are excited for Alex to join us."

- Spent two seasons at Murray State Junior College
- In 2017-18, appeared in 19 games with 15 starts
- Started the season averaging 13.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 4.0 blocks prior to suffering an injury
- Tallied 20 points with four rebounds and three blocks against Paris Junior College (Texas)
- Helped guide Murray State to a regional tournament appearance in 2018 and a regional tournament semifinal appearance in 2017
- Named an All-Star at 2016 3-on-3 tournament
- Attended National Team camps in 2014-15 and 2015-16
- Left high school with a 4.0 grade point average
Bolozova joins 5-11 guard Doga Alper and 5-8 point guard Rongomai Timson as additions to the roster.
The eligibility of all student-athletes is contingent upon admission to the University of Maine and compliance with all NCAA rules, including registration with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
