ORONO, Maine – University of Maine hockey fans will be able to bid on the special 40th Anniversary jerseys worn by the Black Bears throughout the 2017-18 season! The silent auction will take place during UMaine's game against Boston College on Saturday, Feb. 17, which is set to being at 7:30 p.m.
 
All numbers on this year's roster will be available (no nameplates) and each one will come with a certificate of authenticity.
 
The starting price for each jersey will be $250.000. The auction will take place behind Section B and will close with 10 minutes remaining in the third period. Fans can find out if they had the winning bid by checking back in after the auction is closed.
