ORONO, Maine -- The University of Maine men's swimming and diving team defeated Providence, 169-120, on Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.
Freshman diver Kyle Adams had a big day for the Black Bears, winning both events. Adams' marks qualified him for the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships. Adams won the 1-meter dive with 278.32 points and earned top showing in the 3-meter with 256.72 points.
Eric Delmonte picked up a trio of first place finishes for Maine. Delmonte won the 100-yard breaststroke (58.48), the 200-yard breaststroke (2:08.87) and the 200-yard IM (2:00.44).
Senior Nick Sundquist had a solid showing on his Senior Day, winning a pair of events. Sundquist touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:46.27 and was the top finisher in the 100-yard freestyle at 48-flat.
Calvin Cleworth won the the 200-yard fly at 2:00.35.
Connor Mayhew was first in the 100-yard backstroke (55.25) and earned a runner-up showing in the 200-yard back with a time of 1:59.43.

Shane Kinnon won the 200-yard medley with a time of 1:37.27.
The Black Bears return to action on Feb. 4 when they travel to Clark University to compete in the Cougar Invitational.
