ORONO, Maine -- Madison Cummings of Maine field hockey was named America East player of the week today. Cummings led Maine with five goals over the week scoring a total of 10 points in wins over Hofstra and Dartmouth.

She had two goals against Hofstra in a 4-1 win on September 2 and had a hat trick versus Dartmouth in a 7-3 victory. Cummings has had three multi-goal games so far this season.

Maine travels on the road next as they play Boston University September 9.
