AUGUSTA, Maine -- The University of Maine Field Hockey team's associate head coach Courtney Veinotte, was inducted into the Maine Field Hockey Sunday afternoon.
In 2015, Veinotte was apart of one of the best seasons in Maine field hockey history. The Black Bears set a school record for most wins in a season with 19. Maine was also honored as the coaching staff of the year by America East.
During Veinotte's five season as a coach at Maine, the Black Bears have gone a combined 66-37 over the time span.
As a player, Veinotte appeared in 70 total games with 62 starts as a member of the Black Bears. Veinotte tallied 16 goals and eight assists for a total of 40 points over her 70 games.
Before her time at Maine, Veinotte led Skowhegan to four-straight Maine Class A State Championships in field hockey. Veinotte tallied 54 points in her senior season and was named a nominee for Miss Maine Field Hockey.
