ORONO, Maine -- UMaine Field Hockey finished a historic 2015 regular season. The Black Bears climbed the rankings and currently stand 18th in the NFHCA poll, they are also ranked in the top ten of six national statistic categories and are the America East Regular Season Co-Champions for the first time since 2005. Here is a look at some other Maine Field Hockey accomplishments from the regular season:

17 regular season wins: Most in Program History since 2011 when the team finished with 16 wins.

100 Career Wins: Josette Babineau has surpassed 100 career wins as Head Coach of the University of Maine.

For five weeks throughout the season, Maine received an America East player award: Emily Corbett (Defender), Casey Crowley (Rookie), Libby Riedl (Rookie) and Samantha Wagg (Rookie) all received player awards throughout the season.
The Black Bears had ten players that scored in double digit points on the season, they include:
Emma Cochran and Emily Corbett combined for a 1.28 goals against average while splitting time in net. Cochran finished with nine wins on the year, while Corbett finished with eight. Here is a complete look at their regular season totals.
Maine moves on to post-season play in the quarterfinals of the America East Championships as the #2 seed this Friday, Nov. 6 at 4:30 p.m. as they take on the #3 seeded California Golden Bears. Black Bear fans can watch the game online at AmericaEast.TV.
