Braelon Roberts was hired as wide receivers coach in April of 2025.
Roberts joined the Maine coaching staff after serving one season as the wide receivers coach at Bucknell. Under his guidance, the Bison receiving unit tallied 3,220 total receiving yards to lead the Patriot League in the category. Individually, Roberts mentored receiver Eric Weatherly to an all-conference honor as Weatherly registered 75 receptions for 865 yards with eight touchdowns.
Prior to arriving at Bucknell, Roberts spent a year as a graduate assistant coach at Fresno State, where he worked with the receivers and assisted in guiding the Bulldogs to a 10-4 mark and the Mountain West Conference title. During the year stint, Roberts played a key role in the development of a pair of all-conference receivers in first team selection Jalen Cropper and second team honoree Nikko Remigio. The Fresno State offense ranked first in the Mountain West in total offense and went on to win the LA Bowl.
Roberts began his coaching career as the receivers coach at Black Hills State University in 2020 before moving on to the same role at Central Washington in 2021. While at Central Washington, Roberts developed receiver Darius Morrison who was named the 2021 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.
As a player, Roberts was a three-year starter and was named team captain during his time at Utah State. Roberts appeared in 42 games with the Aggies where he racked up 53 receptions for 610 yards with four touchdowns. After his collegiate career, Roberts was invited to Oakland Raiders camp in 2018.
A graduate from Utah State with a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2017, Roberts went on to earn his master's of education in curriculum and instruction from Fresno State.
