Pecorella named CAA Special Teams Player of the Week

Orono, Maine -- The CAA announced on Monday morning that Anthony Pecorella of the University of Maine football program was named the conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance against Towson last Thursday night.
Pecorella, a graduate student out of Malverne, N.Y., averaged 41 yards on seven punts in the 21-18 opening night victory for the Black Bears. He put four of his seven punts inside the 20-yard line while also connecting on a long punt of 50 yards in the matchup. The weekly honor is his first CAA honor during his time at Maine.
