Football Announces Six New Additions to 2026 Roster

Orono, Maine – The University of Maine football program announced six additions to their 2026 roster.

Elijah Alvarado, a 6'2", 225-pound linebacker out of Goodyear, AZ, joins the Black Bears after two seasons at Reedley College. While in high school at Estrella Foothills, he recorded 110 tackles, 26.5 TFL, 4.5 sacks, recovered four fumbles and had a touchdown. In 2023, he was named the 4A Copper Sky Defensive Player of the Year while also being named the West Valley Preps Week 5 Player of the Week, an All-Conference second team selection and was named an All-Central Valley Conference First Teamer.

Isaiah Jones, a 6'4", 230-pound wide receiver out of Columbia, S.C., joins the Black Bears after his time at Southwest Mississippi. In 2025, he recorded 15 receptions in seven games, totaling 234 yards and averaging 15.6 yards per catch. He also was named to the Deans List and Honors Roll multiple times. While in high school at Thornton Academic and Dutch Fork, he was a mutli-time All-State member, a two-time State Champion and a Freshman All-American.

Jeremiah McGill, a 6', 195-pound defensive back out of Miami, FL, joins the Black Bears after having spent the past four seasons at UMass. During his time at UMass, he recorded 85 career tackles and two interceptions. In high school at Chaminade Madonna College Preparatory, he was a three-time State Champion.

Justin Mucerino, a 5'10", 210-pound long snapper out of Fort Worth, TX, joins the Black Bears after spending last season with Dodge City Community College. While at Dodge City in 2025 and at FAU in 2024, he earned Academic Honor Roll in all four semesters. While in high school at All Saints Episcopal School, he was also named to the Academic Honor Roll.

Alex Perez-Munoz, a 6'5", 235-pound tight end out of West New York, N.Y., joins the Black Bears after finishing high school at Hudson Catholic Regional High School. During his time in high school, he was the captain of his football team during his senior year, while also being named the Player of the Week twice.

Aidan Winter, a 6'1, 205-pound running back out of Babylon, N.Y., joins the Black Bears after high school at Babylon High School. During his senior year, he rushed for 2,401 yards and 31 touchdowns. For his career, he totaled 6,793 yards and 77 touchdowns while averaging 11.8 yards per carry. He was a four-time All-State Team member and made the honor roll each year.
