Orono, Maine – The University of Maine baseball program picked up their fifth-straight series victory as they took down UMBC in the series finale.

Scoring Plays:
The Black Bears opened up the scoring with five runs in the bottom of the first inning, starting off with a two-run double by
Juju Stevens to score both
Nic Pepe (HBP) and
Troy Carpenter (BB) before Stevens scored on an error by the shortstop.
Albert De La Rosa drove in the fourth run of the inning on a single to left field, bringing home
Hunter St. Denis (E6) and a sac fly by
Chris Bear to score
Quinn Murphy (FC).
Bear drove in his second run of the game in the third inning on a groundout to second base, scoring Murphy (E4/SB).
De La Rosa brought in his second run of the day as he was hit by a pitch in the fourth inning, bringing home Stevens (BB).
Maine plated three runs in the seventh inning as Carpenter, Stevens and Rasmussen all had an RBI single in the frame. Bear (1B/SB), Pepe (1B) and Carpenter (1B) all scored in the inning.
Bear drove in the final run of the contest in the eighth inning on a double down the left field line, scoring De La Rosa (BB).
Pitching Breakdown:
Vaun Larisa (2-3) turned in his career-long outing as he went seven innings, allowing one run on four hits, no walks and five strikeouts.
Tommy Martin pitched the final inning for the Black Bears, allowing three walks and striking out one batter.
