Orono, Maine – The University of Maine baseball program defeated Bowdoin on Tuesday afternoon.

Scoring Plays:
Brody Rasmussen brought home the opening run of the game on a single up the middle, scoring
Nic Pepe (1B).
Quinn Murphy (1B) scored on a double steal in the opening frame.
Troy Carpenter hit his team-leading 12
th home run of the season in the third inning, a solo shot to center field.
Rasmussen hit a two-run home run in the third inning, his third home run of the season.
Hunter St. Denis (2B) scored on the play.
Maine put up six runs in the sixth inning, starting off with an RBI single from Murphy, scoring
Drew Reynolds (BB).
Carpenter hit his second home run of the game and 13
th of the season, a three-run shot to right center, bringing home Pepe (BB) and Murphy (1B).
Hunter St. Denis made it back-to-back home runs as he hit a solo shot to left field, his fifth of the season.
Albert De La Rosa capped off the inning with an RBI single to right field, scoring Rasmussen (1B/SB).
Pitching Breakdown:
Tommy Martin began the game in the bullpen game, throwing three innings while allowing two unearned runs on four hits, one walk and four strikeouts.
Jack Donlin (1-0) threw three innings allowing no runs on three hits, one walk and striking out five.
Rex Hauser pitched two innings, allowing two runs on four hits and a strikeout.
Owen Wheeler threw the final frame of the game, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and three strikeouts.
