Amherst, MA -- The University of Maine Track and Field program competed in the Commonwealth Invite hosted by University of Massachusetts Amherst on Saturday April 11.
In the 100m,
Cole Martin finished 4th overall with a time of 10.65,
Andrew Card finished 13th overall with a time of 10.91 and
AJ Sebastien finished in a tie with Card with a time of 10.91.
In the 200m,
Andrew Card finished 12th overall with a time of 22.32,
Nolan Feyler finished 13th overall with a time of 22.33, and
Spencer Stadnicki finished 15th overall with a time of 22.43.
In the 400m,
Ryan Fernstrom finished 24th overall with a time of 51.54 and
Ben Therriault finished 31st overall with a time of 52.20.

Andrew Card finished 5th overall in the 4x100 Relay with a time of 41.94.
Billy Albertson captured a 2nd place finish in the Long Jump with a distance of 6.93m (22' 9"),
Will Rush finished 7th overall with a distance of 6.62m (21' 8.75"), and
Ben Therriault finished 18th overall with a distance of 6.06m (19' 10.75").
Ryker Brown captured a 2nd place finish in the Shot Put with a distance of 16.72m (54' 10.25").
In the Discus event,
Ben Therriault finished 43rd overall with a distance of 29.19m (95' 9") and
Luke Patterson finished 45th overall with a distance of 27.13m (89').
In the Hammer Throw,
Gavin McGarrity finished 2nd overall with a distance of 58.40m (191' 7") and
Ryker Brown finished 8th overall with a distance of 52.62m (172' 8").
In the Javelin event,
Luke Patterson finished 13th overall with a distance of 45.43m (149') and
Ben Therriault finished 16th overall with a distance of 41.09m (134' 10").
The Black Bears return to action starting Friday April 17th as they take on the Sean Collier Invitational and the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational.
