Ryker Brown opened up the NCAA East Regionals in the Shot Put event on Wednesday night, finishing 44th overall. Brown is one of four Black Bears that will be competing in the NCAA East Regionals.
Brown's second throw of the evening was his first throw that counted after a fault on throw one. The second throw went a distance of 16.57m (54' 4.5"). Brown would then beat out his previous throw in his third and final throw. The final throw went a distance of 16.86m (55' 3.75") placing him 44th in the East Regional.
