ORONO, Maine -- The America East conference announced on Friday, March 27 that 95% of Maine's student-athletes, the highest percentage among all member institutions, achieved a 3.0 or higher grade point average (GPA), earning them a spot on the Fall America East Academic Honor Roll.
A total of 83 fall student-athletes achieved a 3.0 or higher GPA. Of those 83, 68 scholar-athletes earned America East Commissioner's Honor Roll status for achieving a 3.5 or higher GPA. Maine's 78% Commissioner Honor Roll rate ranked tied for first with UAlbany for the highest percentage for the term.
Maine's women's soccer team tied with Bryant as the program with the highest percentage of 3.0+ student-athletes, with 100% of the roster achieving a 3.0 or higher GPA for the fall term. Maine's women's cross country team achieved a 96% academic honor roll rate. Both programs captured conference championships in the fall of 2025.
Maine field hockey led all field hockey schools with a 90% Commissioner's Honor Roll rate while Maine soccer posted an 82% Commissioner's Honor Roll rate.
- Overall, 927 student-athletes (88%) had a 3.0 GPA or higher, a conference record.
- In total 680 (65%) made the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Maine had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Honor Roll status (95%).
- UAlbany and Maine had the highest percentage of student-athletes earn Commissioner's Honor Roll status (78%), twelve percent higher than the next closest institution.
- Maine women's soccer was the lone conference champion to have 100% of its student-athletes named to the Academic Honor Roll. Maine cross country was the second-highest conference champion at 96%
