AMESBURY, Mass. – A pair of University of Maine men's ice hockey student-athletes were honored by Hockey East on Friday morning when the league office announced the 2025-26 all-star teams.
Brandon Holt and
Josh Nadeau were both named Hockey East First Team All-Stars.
Â
Holt earns his second consecutive all-star honor after leading the league with 18 assists in conference play and finishing third in total points with 23. The senior also added five goals and one game-winning goal in conference contests. Holt, who was named a Hockey East Third Team All-Star as a junior, averaged 23:04 minutes per game in Hockey East play while recording 33 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating and being whistled for just three penalties in the 24 games. Overall on the year, Holt's goals (6), assists (26) and points (32) all mark career-highs while his 32 points mark the first 30-plus point season by a Maine blue liner since Ben Hutton in 2011-12 (33). Earlier this week, Holt was named the league's Best Defensive Defenseman and was also voted the co-winner of The Len Ceglarski Sportsmanship Award, which is given by the league to the player who has consistently demonstrated superior conduct and sportsmanship on and off the ice.Â

Nadeau led Hockey East with 15 goals in conference play while finishing second in points with 25 (15-10-25). The junior's 1.19 points per game average in 21 conference contests led Hockey East. Nadeau, who earned a Third Team All-Star nod as a freshman, scored five power-play goals and two short-handed goals to tie for third and first, respectively, in conference play. He also had three, four-point outings in Hockey East contests this season, including two hat tricks. Overall on the year, Nadeau has 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists. Earlier this week, Nadeau was named the runner-up for the Service Credit Union Hockey East Scoring Champion honor.
Â
This is the first time Maine has had a first team honoree since Jeremy Swayman in 2019-20 and the first time Maine has had multiple first team honorees since Ben Hutton and Devin Shore in 2013-14.
