Mathis Rousseau has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office.

The Boisbriand, Quebec native went 2-0-0 against Northeastern, posting a 1.00 goals against average while stopping 48 of 50 shots for a .960 save percentage. On Friday night in Portland, Rousseau posted a 25-save shutout and earned an assist on a goal to lift Maine to a 4-0 win over the Huskies. The shutout marked the first by a Maine goaltender in a neutral site game since Jan. 14, 2017. On Saturday night in Lowell, Mass., Rousseau had a 23-save performance in a 3-2 win, giving Maine its first regular season series sweep of the Huskies since 2005-06 (4-0-0).

This is the second weekly honor of the season for Rousseau, who was named the Hockey East Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week on Nov. 24.
